REPORT ON ORDINANCE No.............................of 1918.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance intituled
An
Ordinance to amend the Coroner's Abolition Ordinance, 1888,
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the
Governor's Instructions.
2.
The object of the Ordinance was to amend the Coroner's Abolition Ordinance, 1888, so as to enable juries for the purpose of that Ordinance to be drawn from the Special Jurors List in exceptional
cases.
3.
The occasion of the introduction of the bill was a catastrophe at the Races on the 26th February, 1915, in which nearly six hundred
